National - NLBMDA Submits Comments on Expanded Led Paint Testing
Last week, NLBMDA submitted comments to EPA opposing proposed changes that would expand the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Program (RRP) rule to include additional dust wipe and clearance testing requirements at the end of renovations. NLBMDA questioned EPA's authority to require expanded wipe and clearance testing and the health risk basis for its requirement, as well as a lack of analysis of the fiscal impact on contractors. The comments were similar to those submitted by NRLA a few weeks ago.
