Foundation

The Lumber and Building Material Dealers Foundation (LBMDF) is a not-for-profit entity formed under Section 501-C-3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Established in 1968, the Foundation's primary purpose is to provide education and training to members of the lumber and building material industry. Through its professional certification program, Certified Building Materials Specialist (CBMS), the Foundation also seeks to enhance the professionalism of members of our industry by challenging participants to meet the highest expectations of their employers, peers, and customers.

Foundation Mission Statement:
Promote and support investment, education, and research related to, and for the benefit of, the lumber and building material dealers, their employees, customers, and the general public.
