Welcome to NRLA’s Government Affairs Department. Our mission is to proactively promote and protect the interests of building material suppliers in the federal and state legislative and regulatory process. 



The NRLA government affairs department monitors all federal legislation impacting the building materials industry, and advocates for proactive legislation on Capitol Hill. 

NRLA is affiliated with ABMA, which helps advocate on federal issues specific to the building material industry.


NRLA's government affairs department helps guide members and their businesses through the implementation of regulations, both old and new, monitors proposed federal regulatory rulemaking, and submits comment letters to federal agencies on behalf of the building material industry.


The NRLA government affairs department actively sponsors, supports, and opposes legislation that impacts the building material industry at the state level.
