CONCORD LUMBER CORPORATION ACQUIRES COLORWORKS PAINT & DECORATING
Concord Lumber Corporation is growing, with the addition of seven new paint & decorating storefronts and investing in new home improvement product lines, to better serve professional and homeowner customers.
Concord Lumber Corporation, an employee-owned building materials supply company in Littleton, Massachusetts, acquired ColorWorks Paint & Decorating Stores on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017.
Since 1946, Concord Lumber Corporation has been a company of residential construction experts, assisting the community with their building material and home improvement needs. “The addition of ColorWorks to our family of companies will allow us to expand on our primary goal of providing the community with all of its residential building material needs,” states Rick McCrobie, President of Concord Lumber Corporation.
ColorWorks was founded by Terry Bane and Jock Robey, who successfully led the company for 27 years by fostering a knowledgeable, customer service driven team and carrying quality products. “We recognize much of what makes them a successful company has been the expert team in place, and we look forward to having all of their staff becoming fellow employee-owners,” added McCrobie. Additionally, the business name, product lines and services are all remaining the same.
As Terry and Jock got closer to retirement age they began to consider their options regarding the company they have dedicated years of hard work to growing, their search presented them with Concord Lumber Corporation, a local, employee-owned company. “It was important to us that Concord Lumber Corporation wanted to continue the ColorWorks name and brand and that our employees would have the opportunity to join a well-respected organization,” said Terry, “transferring ownership to an employee-owned company with such strong values, left us feeling secure in our decision.”
